My Firefox has apparently lost Unicode support for Arabic, but only for Arabic: Persian letters (which AFAIK use the same alphabet!) display just fine. The attached screenshots show the problem via Wiktionary excerpts. Note that while the Arabic text appears only as boxes, the Persian, Azerbaijani, Ottoman Turkish, etc. texts all work just fine. It's clearly not a problem with encoding more generally -- languages as rare as Old Persian, Avestan, and the IPA appear normally. For some reason it's only Arabic that's broken.

What's going on here? How can I fix it?

I am running Firefox 130.0.1 on Ubuntu 24.04.1. I have attached a jpg of the popup window mentioned in the title.

To the best of my knowledge, this window only (and almost always) appears when I am entering characters from a chat box or a text window subordinate to Firefox. I don't know if the popup is generated by Ubuntu or Firefox. Does anyone recognize this as a Firefox popup?

The scenario is this: I am typing away, entering text and for some reason the cursor moves out of the text/chat box. I don't know what I do to cause this to happen. I keep entering text and evidently hit some button that causes the popup to appear. Does anyone know what causes this popup to be displayed?

I have been using Firefox since shortly after it was released. As I am fond of wine I often visit the web site systembolaget.se. But since 2 months ago that site is not readable with Firefox It shows very small pictures and text that is so smal I cannot read it. My solution is to use Chrome which shows everything as I am used to. I have not observed this type of problem with Firefox at any other web sites. Best regards, Håkan

These may be silly questions, but I cannot seem to find the setting or procedure:

1) How do I change an incognito tab to non-incognito in FF? Is that possible without having to copy and paste the url to a new browser tab? 2) Is it possible to export browser tabs from FF Focus to non-incognito tabs in FF? All I see are “Open in Chrome” and “Open in Firefox”. The FF option always opens in an incognito tab.

Just trying to find a a quick and easy way to go from an open tab in FF Focus to an open, non-incognito/regular tab in FF app where I save my tabs for future work etc. (all of this in iOS 18, iPhone)

system info - i7 - 8GB RAM, windows 10, one 128 GB SSD and other 512GB SSD

Since yesterday, it has been crashing after every 2-5 minutes; in troubleshooter mode as well...

I ran windows RAM memory test, it turned out to be okay... I ran a dell harware test, it informed me that my fan is not working properly; though I doubt its the reason for my firefox crashing

I'm using a Huawei P20. I've been using FireFox for a long time mainly for accessing YouTube through the browser. After recent updates when I try to play a video it always appears to be really zoomed-in and completely unwatchable, decided to switch to WaterFox to resolve my issue, but after the last update WaterFox also has the same issue.

Can anyone provide some help with this issue?
